At times these intense feelings can show up through having a short temper, restlessness, poor sleep, or physical symptoms such as IBS, back pain, high blood pressure, and shallow breathing.    The pressures of modern, fast-paced living can keep the body in a constant state of hyper-arousal, over activating the nervous system and contributing to chronic stress. Breathe & Be Still helps show you assessable tools through mindful breathwork, meditation and very gentle movement to help create a sense of ease, calm, and inner steadiness, acting as an antidote to the challenges, and difficult feelings that you may experience. Breathe & Be Still offers a space to shift into down regulation, the body’s natural healing state. This class goes beyond the physical aspects of yoga.
It places 80% emphasis on Pranayama (breath work), meditation, and deep relaxation, with the remaining 20% focused on Asana (gentle yoga postures / stretches) Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, tense, burnt out, or simply need a moment to pause, Breathe & Be Still is a powerful antidote to the busyness of life. It can be especially beneficial for those dealing with: Stress and emotional fatigue Anxiety or panic symptoms High blood pressure Sleep disturbances Muscle tightness and physical discomfort Mental overactivity and tension headaches You’ll leave class feeling more grounded, clear-minded, and at ease in both body and breath. Missed a class from the course?
You’re warmly invited to join a Sunday Slow Yoga Flow (online), Wednesday Yoga Slowly (Hatfield), or Thursday Yoga Flow (St Albans) free of charge to catch up. These classes offer a nurturing space to reconnect with your breath, body, and inner calm.
