Gentle Yoga & Qigong Autumn Term 6 Week Course Dates of classes: 19th Sept 26th Sept 3rd Oct 10th Oct 17th Oct 24th Oct A Grounding and Nurturing Practice This class is perfect for those seeking slow, supportive practices. Whether you're feeling immobile, tired, or in need of restoration, this is a space to gently reconnect with your body and breath in a deeply grounding way. We explore slow, nurturing yoga movements & qigong. The movements are subtle and intuitive—guided by the ancient wisdom of yoga, while at the heart of this class is qigong Qigong is deeply rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is related to practices like tai chi & daoist philosophy. Qigong uses slow, flowing, circular movements coordinated with breath and mental intention to cultivate, circulate, and balance qi—our vital life force / energy. These movements are deeply meditative, calming the nervous system and creating a sense of inner grounding and presence. Unlike faster or more physically intense forms of movement, qigong connects us with the our natural energy and our own internal rhythms. It gently awakens the body’s capacity in supporting vitality, organ health, emotional regulation, and overall balance. A welcoming practice for all levels, ages and abilities. When combined with yoga asana, which works to tone, lengthen, and strengthen the body through mindful stretching and extension, the effect is profoundly holistic. The integration of Qigong and Yoga invites a deeper flow of qi and prana, encouraging greater harmony throughout our one precious body/mind. This is a class of creative, mindful movement, designed to ground, soften, and replenish. Missed a class from the course?
