Jewels of the season retreat
3rd - 10th October 2026
Yoga, meditation, qigong & walking retreat
Join me in Slovenia, where I have created a wholesome retreat sanctuary for you to revel in the awe and wonder of the soothing power of our natural land. As the autumn crisp air settles in and the leaves transform into a tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows, I invite you to reconnect with your inner and outer landscape amidst the backdrop of the jewel of autumn.

Nature's soothing sanctuary
Autumn is a sacred time which invites us to witness with our full attention the wild artistic show which nature unfolds each year.
As the October forests become adorned in nature’s leafy jewels, we will beautifully mirror natures lead in finding our own inner Jewels. During our week together you will be guided through a thoughtfully curated programme guiding you to immerse yourself within the natural vibrancy and the art show of nature's autumnal dance. Surrounded by the shifting colours of the land and the peaceful atmosphere of the stunningly beautiful forests and hills, our time in Slovenia will offer us space for personal reflection through, movement, breath work, crafting, ritual and stillness to allow our own inner jewels to shine.

The retreat centre
A large portion of the retreat land is covered by ancient forest and is within 23 hectares of virgin organic land. Part has been set aside for the cultivation of fruit and vegetables using the principals of permaculture and biodynamics.
Slovenia is blessed with a very high degree of natural diversity and the climate is a wonderful convergence of Continental, Alpine and Mediterranean. On site there is an impressive greenhouse providing a space to grow fruit and vegetables throughout the year as well as a beautiful orchard where pear, apple, plums, cherries, quince and medlars are grown.
Outside, there are raised beds, where more vegetables, herbs and flowers are grown for cooking, tinctures and tea, as well as additional small growing fields which are positioned within the meadows to enhance biodiversity.
To provide our food, they use the no dig method’ of cultivation, together with other permaculture and biodynamic techniques which help to ensure the quality and protection of the arable land. All of the organic waste is composted and there are two wormeries onsite which provide high quality compost for planting and growing. Finally, what retreat wouldn’t be complete unless there were our more than human friends, as it is home to a few cats and three dogs to give us furry cuddles when we need it.

Optional excursions
If you'd like to see a little more of Slovenia while on retreat, I will be happy to help organise any of the following optional excursions.
All excursions are at additional costs.
Kamniska Bistrica River Valley
A guided walking tour with an amazing female local guide who will show you all the locals hidden and intact favourite spots
(Highly recommend)
Kamniska Bistrica River is an alpine river in northern Slovenia. It springs from the Kamnik Alps near the border with Austria and is 33 km long.
There is something magical about the Kamniška Bistrica River, so on your visit make sure to take a sip of crystal clear water from the spring as the river is considered one of the cleanest in Slovenia,
Ljubljana
Slovenia's capital and largest city (even though it feels really quaint to me) is known for its charming blend of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture. Ljubljana is characterised by its picturesque old town, vibrant cultural scene, numerous green spaces and many bridges over the curving river.
When in the city, you can take a river boat tour or a walking guided tour, visit the castle, botanical gardens or simply enjoy the cafe culture.
Lake Bled
Lake Bled is a picturesque glacial lake located in the Julian Alps of Slovenia, near the town of Bled. It’s renowned for its stunning natural beauty, featuring clear turquoise waters surrounded by lush forests and mountainous landscapes. One of its most distinctive features is Bled Island, which is home to a charming church, the Church of the Assumption, known for its iconic bell tower. Lake Bled is worth a visit, although quite built up with hotels, shops and restaurants around the edges of the lake, it has charm, especially if you enjoy a sail in of the boats on offer.
